I think that spring is finally here...!! I can smell it in the air, feel it in the warm breeze and hear it in the chirping of the birds...

To celebrate the renewal of spring, we thought we'd run a couple spring promotions as many of your memberships are coming up for renewal at this time as well. We are offering an unlimited spring/summer membership that commences now and takes you to September 1 for $189 + gst. This package is a great deal if you know any new comers who are interested in starting yoga and don't really want to commit long term just yet. The unlimited summer membership is also good for those who usually only come once a week to class, but have a little extra free time during the summer and hope to come more often.
For those of you who know that you plan on making yoga a part of your lifestyle and are ready to commit to a longer term package now is the time as we have some really good incentives on the longer term memberships. If you purchase a 6 month unlimited membership, you will get 1 extra month added on at the end. If you purchase a 1 year unlimited membership you will receive 2 extra months added on at the end. The full details can be found on our website www.yogabysarah.com or on the flyers located in the studio. These promotions are valid until May 31th, 2002.

I just wanted to make a quick note to thank everyone for taking the extra time and effort to sign your name and membership number in our sign-in book on the way in. I know it's taken us a while to get into the habit of it, but for the most part it is going pretty smoothly right now... it makes our life much easier. Please make sure that when you sign in you PRINT your first and last name legibly so that we can find you easily in the computer when we enter it. THANK YOU!!

As always, there are free trial passes available at the reception counter for any family or friends who are interested in trying a class. Please make sure you direct them to a beginner class or ask them to call or email us for advice on the best place to start. Sometimes, unknowingly a new person will show up at an intermediate/advanced class and we hate to have to tell them to return at a more appropriate time, but it is in their best interest and safety to start at a beginner level. Please also note that it states directly on the front of the free pass that only people who live in the Niagara Region and have never attended a "Yoga by Sarah" class are eligible for the pass. If you have a visitor from out of town who wants to take a yoga class, they are more than welcome to pay the Drop-In fee of $15 + gst.

As you've seen in the studio most of our spring and summer clothing has arrived!! We have decided to expand quite a bit in the clothing and we are carrying a full line of Danskin and Tigerbrand Non-Fiction women's casual and activewear. We have the largest selection of Danskin in the Niagara Region and there is lots to choose from!! Danskin now has their own yoga line of clothing which we are carrying along with their usual casual and activewear lines. As usual, we are still carrying our own "Yoga by Sarah" line of unitards, mats, books, videos, eyebags, wristguards, blocks, etc...

For those who have been attending the Ashtanga Level 1 class for a few months now, please know that you would probably be fine attending a Level 2 at this stage. If you are unsure feel free to ask me... usually as long as you feel comfortable and have a good understanding of the Sun Salutations and some of the basic standing poses, you will be fine in Level 2. With spring fever and the specials running now we are expecting a little bit of influx in the memberships again and we will probably be seeing several new faces who are genuinely Level 1's.

Yoga by Sarah is running a Business Profile in the St. Catharines Standard this coming Saturday April 20th and in the Niagara Falls Review the following Saturday April 27th. These will be full page articles/ads.. so look for them!!

I know that many of your memberships are expiring around this time if you took out one of the 3 month packages. Several people who feel that they have not used the membership as frequently as they thought they would have been asking us to extend their memberships for them. Please be aware that you have signed a contract, and similar to a gym/health club membership, your membership is only good for that time period regardless of your usage. Of course, we try to be as flexible as possible (no pun intended!) under extenuating circumstances such as extended illness or birth of your baby (we have no problem putting your membership on hold when the baby is born!!)
Please understand that we are running a reputable business and we have to stick to our rules and regulations.

We are still in the process of developing workshops and expanding our class schedule so bear with us.. In May we hope to start offering Friday classes and we are thinking of adding on to our repertoire of classes, such as Pilates, Meditation classes, and Absolute beginner yoga classes.
