Yoga by Sarah May Newsletter

Hello everyone... The main reason for this newsletter is to announce what we have all been waiting for: the addition of Friday classes!!

So here goes: Commencing immediately this Friday May 24, 2002 we are adding on two additional classes.. 9:45am Hatha All Level - Jo 5:30pm Flow Yoga All Level -Sharon/Allison (However the first two weeks Sarah will be teaching the 5:30pm class)

Please also note a couple other changes to the schedule: **The Wednesday 5:30pm class is being changed from Ashtanga Level 1 to a Flow Yoga All Level **The Thursday 9:45am class is being changed from Ashtanga Level 2 to a Flow Yoga All Level

We are hoping that the class additions and changes will better suit your schedule and needs. An updated copy of the schedule can be located on our website www.yogabysarah.com as well you will find copies of the new schedule at the studio.

Please be aware that we have 3 different styles of yoga at the studio. We have the traditional Hatha Classes, the Flow Yoga, and the Ashtanga Flow Yoga. Beginners would do well to start at a Hatha style class. The Ashantga Yoga is on the other end of the spectrum, very dynamic, fairly rapid and intense. The Flow Yoga is designed to be somewhere inbetween the Hatha and the Ashtanga... so not as laid back as the Hatha but not as dynamic as the Ashtanga. We are highly recommending that members try all the different styles and teachers at some point in time to really experience and feel the difference. You might find that everyday is different and you need different styles depending on how you feel that day.

I would like to welcome Allison Noble to our teaching staff. Her and Sharon Horton are just completing their teacher training program in Toronto. I look forward to experiencing their fresh and exciting approach to teaching yoga.

I would also like to welcome Lisa Polillo to our front desk reception staff. You will be seeing Lisa on front desk every other Wednesday evening and most Saturday mornings. So yes, that means that you won't be seeing me on front desk on Saturdays anymore. I am hoping to use the extra time to develop the upcoming workshops that I will be announcing soon and to participate in the occasional Saturday morning yoga class!!

Please look for an email from me in a week or so announcing the Workshop topics, dates and fees. Most of the workshops will run Saturday afternoons from 1-4pm and will have various subjects and leaders. So keep an eye out for more details soon!!

More exciting news in the clothing end of things: We have placed an order for some Tigerbrand Non-Fiction T-shirts and sweatshirts that will be personalized with the Yoga by Sarah logo. We will have all different colours, styles and sizes that will be great for coming to and from yoga class as well as out and about. Keep an eye for these on the clothing racks within the next 1-2 weeks!!

Just a quick reminder that our Summer Promotions will be ending May 31, 2002. I know that several of you have been taking advantage of this promotion to purchase a 1 year yoga membership (receiving 2 extra months free!) or the 6 month yoga membership (receiving the 7th month free!). Even if your membership is coming up for renewal within the next month or two, it might be in your best interest to take advantage of the promotions now and then the membership could commence after your current one expires. As always, we accept cash, cheque, Mastercard or Visa, and we are more than happy to work out a payment plan with you.

Whenever I run into people on the street, their first question these days is "How is your new studio doing?" My instantaneous response is always "Wonderful!!... I'm working hard, but the people are coming, and I'm having so much fun and learning so much along the way."

So thank you to all our students and patrons, for your support, your eagerness, your enthusiasm... I feel that I am learning and growing as much from you as you are from us.. my gratitude is endless..
