Greetings Fellow Yogis/Yoginis!!

Well it's the end of February, spring can't be too far away... I always say that March 1st brings hope :)

Well we've gotten the new year off to a great start, the studio has been busy and buzzing with energy and new programs. Our first 8 week session of the new year is almost finished with only a couple more weeks to go, and our next session (I'm calling it the Spring session, even if it took me 20 minutes to scrape the ice off my car this morning, ok :) is starting the week of March 17, 2003.

So our website www.yogabysarah.com has been updated and registration is NOW OPEN!!

As usual, we have some great Pre-Registered Yoga classes for Beginners, which is a great way to get started with yoga or a great way to get back into it if you have been away for a while. These 8 week beginner programs are progressive, in which we start you off very basic and slowly build and add on to it every week. At the end of the 8 week program you have a really good solid foundation in yoga, and from there you can purchase one of our general membership packages to attend our Drop-In Classes which gives you access to another 17 classes a week!!

So, if you wish to register into one of our Pre-Registered Programs starting the week of March 17, make sure you call us, email us, or come into the studio to reserve your spot in the class. Be sure to register early, as these classes tend to fill up quickly!!

You will notice on our newest schedule that we have expanded the Pilates program with Sarah Hill... we are now offering 6 Pilates classes weekly!! Remember that the Pilates classes are also run in 8 week Sessions, so you must also Pre-Register into these classes.

You will find all the updated yoga and pilates class schedules, descriptions and fees on our website www.yogabysarah.com . It will also tell you in detail how to register.

Please note that the only change we have made to our regular Drop-In Schedule (commencing March 17) is that the Tuesday 5:30pm Power Yoga class with Sharon is now being changed to Tuesday 4:10pm Power Yoga with Sharon. We are hoping that this time change will better suit some people who have been wanting an earlier class (you're out the door before 5:30pm!), and if you still need the 5:30pm Power Yoga time frame due to your schedule, we of course still have the Wednesday 5:30pm Power Yoga.

Our Ahimsa Charity Class with our student teacher, Lisa Propper, is going well. This class runs Mondays at 4:10p with a suggested $5 donation and is open to anyone from the community who wants to attend. We are donating ALL proceeds of this class to Women's Place St. Catharines. So make sure to tell anyone who might benefit from this cost-effective, no commitment way to do yoga about it!!

Another one of our student teachers, Stacey Dueck, is running a FREE YOGA WORKSHOP on Saturday March 8 from 1:30p - 3:30pm for anyone who might be interested. This is a way for her to get some more experience teaching, the only stipulation is that we get to take a photograph of you doing a yoga pose!! You of course will get a copy of it (if you so desire), and Stacey will keep her copies to go as "research" into her study manual.

FYI - Both myself and Sarah Hill will be appearing at Chapters at the Fairview Mall this coming weekend, Saturday March 1, 2003 from 2p-3pm. We are doing a free presentation open to the public on Yoga and Pilates. I will be doing the yoga presentation for 30 minutes and Sarah Hill will be doing the Pilates presentation for 30 minutes. Please pass this information on to any friends, family or co-workers who may be interested in coming out to see what we're all about!!

Lately, I have been doing some lunch hour workplace presentations at local businesses and schools for the staff. Many companies have Workplace Wellness Committees now, etc. So if you are interested in having me come into your place of work and give a presentation on yoga and it's benefits (of course getting everyone on the floor involved), let me know. I am always looking for ways to get out into the community to spread the good word!!
