Yoga by Sarah Annual Christmas Open House this Weekend

Don’t forget to come to our Open House this weekend!  This is the best time to purchase or renew your membership, enter our draw for a chance to win a yoga or pilates package, clothing, merchandise, etc., come check out our new line of clothing LOL by Heavenly Bodies and come and hang out with us and have some food and refreshments!!  We look forward to seeing you there! 

ALSO – come to the open house this weekend and bring in a food donation for Community Care (Food Bank) and receive a $5 YBS gift certificate towards any package or merchandise of your choice!

There are great stocking stuffers to be picked up – yoga or pilates hand towels, videos, DVD’s, children yoga packages, yoga mats, straps, blocks and much more!

January Schedules are here!

The January schedule is now updated on our website www.yogabysarah.com and you can pick up a copy of it at the studio – we’ve changed it to a different shade of pink and added snowflakes to the front of it so you know that it’s a new schedule and needs to be picked up! 

Holiday Drop-In Yoga Schedule

There is a holiday Drop-In Yoga schedule that will take you from December 19- January 2, 2005 – it is available online as well or you can pick up a white copy of it at the studio.  We are closed a few days throughout the holidays and we have a slightly revised schedule throughout the Christmas/New Years season.

January Drop-In Yoga schedule commences January 3, 2005

This staple of our schedule has remained more or less the same with only a couple revisions:

*We have added in a Sunday 10am Power Yoga Level 2 with Allison – Keep coming to this fun and challenging class!

*With regret, we have deleted the Thursday 9:15am Power Yoga class – the numbers in this class have been pretty low for sometime, but we still have the Tuesday 9:15am Power Yoga as well as our regular evening times and the new Sunday timeslot.

*Andrea McGee, our new teacher trainee, will be teaching a Community Charity class on Fridays at 4:30p.  This class is open to anyone from the community with a suggested $5 donation, and all proceeds will be donated to Wellspring Niagara, a cancer support centre.  So, please come out to support this class and tell anyone you know who might be interested! 

Our 8 week Pre-Registered Yoga and Pilates classes commence the week of January 17 – registration is now open!

All of our pre-registered programs start the week of January 17 – come out to register during the open house this weekend and receive 10% off!  Visit our website www.yogabysarah.com or stop by the studio to pick up a schedule for a list of all the classes and details!

Pilates Pre-Registered Classes

Our pilates classes start again the week of January 17 – for those of you who don’t want to wait that long in between sessions, we’ve added a few drop-in pilates classes for the interim to keep you going.  You can visit our website www.yogabysarah.com, click on the Pilates Class Schedule button and then click on the link to the Holiday Pilates Drop-In Schedule for a list of drop-in classes and fees.  And don’t forget to register early for our 8 week January session starting the week of January 17!  January is always a busy time and classes tend to fill up quickly.  We have added a new pilates class in at 12:10pm on Thursdays – it’s a 40 minute lunchtime class – see details on our website or pick up the schedule at the studio!

Prenatal Yoga and Baby/Mom Yoga Classes

These 8 week classes with Angela start again the week of January 17 – now the only thing is – Angela is due to have her baby February 9!!  We have discussed this in length and we have decided to give Angela a 3 ½ day maternity leave.  Now I know this sounds crazy, but it was her idea, not mine!  I was willing to give her about 2 weeks.  J  But in all seriousness, when Angela does have her baby I will be filling in for her classes for a very short period of time until she is ready to come back to teach.  Angela has expressed that she wants to get right back into it, and of course doing yoga is the best way to get back into shape after birth! 

New class Thursday mornings – Bellydancing!!

We have added a new 8 week pre-registered class Thursdays @ 9:30am – Bellydancing with Kassia of Hip Circle Dance Productions.  This is an 8 week pre-registered class and is $100 + gst for the 8 week program.  We are very excited to have her teaching at the studio – you can visit Kassia’s website for more information on bellydancing www.spiritmovement.com.  This will be a great complement to your yoga or pilates practice.  Let’s get shaking!

8 week pre-registered Gentle Yoga is back!

Our Gentle Yoga class Wednesday mornings at 11:15am with Jo will be starting again January 19 for 8 weeks as well.  This is a great class for anyone working with injuries, limitations, the elderly, etc.  The class goes at a slow pace, numbers are kept under 10 people, and lots of props and chairs are used in this class.  You can visit our pre-registered yoga class page on our website www.yogabysarah.com for more details.

Children/Teen Yoga are Discontinued

We have decided to no longer run our Children’s and Teen Yoga programs.  Insurance has gone up dramatically, and insurance to run children’s programs under the age of 16 has gone up even more dramatically.  It is not feasible at this time to insure the studio, myself and/or Louisa for children’s programs.  Our apologies for any inconvenience this may cause and a special thank you to the few families who have kept this program running over the years.
