Pilates Class
Descriptions
Level 1 Pilates
Level 1 Pilates
will introduce you to the fundamental principals of the
Pilates method, and the basic exercises. You will embrace
upon functional movement and body awareness to improve upon
strength (specifically ab's and back), posture and
flexibility. This is a starting point for everyone - from
the "unfit" and "inflexible" to the high performance
athlete.
All Level
Pilates
All Level Pilates
will begin with the fundamentals, and will progress slightly
faster than Level One. We will stick with the basic
movements with modifications to make the exercises less or
more challenging
Level 2 Pilates
Level 2 Pilates
is a great class for intermediate enthusiasts. It will link
the fundamentals to more challenging movements for a well
balanced and technique driven full body workout.
Power Pilates
Power Pilates is
all about moving - an exhilarating workout that combines
Level Two Pilates with a faster pace. The stretching
component will help to cool you down.
Yoga Class
Descriptions
Hatha Yoga -
Level 1
For those who are
looking for a gentle, classical approach to yoga this one's
for you. The class starts with a centering and ends with
deep meditation. During the class, we focus on using our
breath in combination with the yoga postures to allow the
body to open up and start to relax into the poses. This
releases any tensions, tightness, or stress as well as
increasing your strength, balance and co-ordination,
flexibility and energy levels. These informative classes are
suitable for the beginner level and introduce postures in a
safe and gentle fashion. The all level classes are geared to
suit both the Level 1 and the Level 2 classes combined. As
always, you are encouraged to work at your own pace.
Hatha Yoga -
Level 2
For those who
have taken the Level 1 class for a period of time and feel
comfortable with the basics. This class will experiment with
some deeper, more challenging poses, yet still encouraging
you to work at your own level.
Vinyasa Flow
Yoga - All Level
Using a dynamic,
challenging and flowing sequence of postures combined with
the breath, Vinyasa Flow Yoga builds strength, flexibility,
awareness, alignment, endurance and promotes relaxation.
This Sun Salutation based class incorporates some of the
traditional Ashtanga sequencing, as well as offering
creative choreography and unique ways of flowing from one
pose to the next.
Vinyasa Flow
Yoga - Level 2
For those who
have taken the All Level class for a period of time and feel
comfortable with the basics. This class will experiment with
some deeper, more challenging poses, yet still encourage you
to work at your own level.
Hatha Yoga for
Beginners
In these 8 weeks,
the basics of Hatha Yoga will be explored in a progressive
and logical manner. Great for those new to yoga as well as
those wishing to explore form and alignment. These 8 weeks
will empower you to comfortable and safely join our
"Drop-in" Hatha Classes. 75 minutes.
Prenatal Yoga
Our prenatal yoga
classes provide a combination of simple and effective
exercises specifically geared to strengthening and relaxing
the pregnant, rapidly changing body. Yoga during any stage
of pregnancy, can help to increase flexibility, improve
circulation, and relieve common problems and discomforts
associated with pregnancy. 75 minutes.

Baby and Mom
Yoga
Yoga for you and
your baby. A supportive environment to learn yoga, recover
from childbirth and bond with your baby. 90 minutes.
Gentle
Restorative Yoga
This beginner
class will safely introduce you to the practice of yoga
encouraging modification and the use of props. Learn to
release tension, channel energy through the breath and
stretch in a positive way. A good class for those who have
become inactive, have back problems or have had an injury
and now have their doctor’s permission to begin exercising.

Beginner Hot Vinyasa
Flow Yoga
An ideal
opportunity for those who have been wanting to start Vinyasa
Flow Yoga, whether you are a new or continuing yoga
practitioner. This quick paced, dynamic, flowing style of
yoga will be explored and broken down in a detailed logical
manner. These 8 weeks will empower you to comfortably and
safely join our "Drop-in" Vinyasa Flow Classes. 75 minutes
Hot Vinyasa
Flow Yoga
Get ready to
sweat! A Vinyasa Flow class done in a well-heated room
(around 100 degrees). This vigorous yoga class will induce
the body to sweat which in turn, will aid in ridding the
body of toxins. The warmer the body is, the more flexible
you become, which carefully allows you to move deeper into
the poses”. This class is not recommended for those who are
pregnant or who have a history of heart problems, high blood
pressure, glaucoma or respiratory issues. Bring a couple of
towels and lots of water – you’re going to need it!
